Research Data
The Burner Belt is a Tier 2 thermal building unlocked for 500 Gold. It ignites flammable material carried across it, but only when heat is supplied through a Thermal Buffer.
The official Research page is marked work in progress. These facts reflect the captured August 20, 2026 version and may change with game updates.
Burner Belt: Confirmed Function
The official Research tree defines both halves of the dependency: the belt performs ignition and the Thermal Buffer stores and distributes the required heat. For the early Gold chain, this supports burning Residue into Burnt Residue before the material reaches a Kinetic Press.
Setup and Production Role
Place the Burner Belt on the material route and provide heat from a Thermal Buffer before relying on it as the ignition stage. Only burnable inputs should be routed across it. The verified alternative for Residue is Lava trapped inside a Filter, covered on the dedicated burning guide.
Limits and Verification
The official wiki has no dedicated Burner Belt article in the captured source set. Belt speed, heat consumption, ignition delay, dimensions and comparative efficiency against Lava or a Pyro Dispenser are not documented, so this page does not invent those values.
